About Me

Hi

My name is Jo.  I am a 30 something smiley (most of the time!) girl.  Well I think of myself as a girl rather than a Mother of 2.  I quite often find myself wondering if people actually think the two children I am carrying around are mine.  Not because I look young.  Just because I can't believe I am actually married with 2 children.

As I said I am married and have two gorgeous boys.  It all happened so fast, we married in June 2009 and had a plan to wait at least a year before trying for a baby.  Three months later I found myself doing a pregnancy test "just to be on the safe side" because I was going out the next night with the girls which I knew would result in drinking copious amounts of alcohol.

So on our one year anniversary we had a 3 week only baby - Thomas.  Then we thought it might be better to get the "baby part" out of the way in one go and when Thomas was one we decided we wanted another.  By Thomas's 2nd Birthday we had welcomed Lucas into the world just 12 days earlier.

So we all live together in Sussex with our cat - Misty.

When I am not being "Mum" I work in the travel industry.  I have always wanted to work in travel and began my career working for a travel agent at Gatwick Airport when I left college.  Then I wanted something a bit more local so joined a tour operator in Worthing.  I was lucky enough to be sent on an educational to Mallorca and while I was there decided I liked the way of life and didn't really fancy coming home.  So I stayed.  After a lovely winter living in Mallorca not doing much I got a job working for a large tour operator and stayed overseas for 5 years.

Then I came back and decided to settle down and that is when Phil and I got together.  We went to school together but didn't have the same interests so our paths didn't really cross.  We married 4 years later.

I decided to start blogging because I love sharing my stories with friends and family and (mostly) they like hearing them.  All of the opinions in my blog will be my own and I am not paid to feature the items I talk about.

So I hope you enjoy sharing these special moments with me.
