Play time
I love spending time with my boys. Sometimes it is better to join them and make the most of the special time we have together.
Walls
We haven't done too much to the house since we moved in 5 years ago, we have decorated but I wanted to change it a little so decided to do a feature wall. Hubby helped me pick the wall paper and because we don't have much spare time with me working most weekends and having both the boys to look after my amazing Dad offered to help out and paper the wall one day when we were out.
It was really nice to walk in and see the new wallpaper and it has made such a difference to the appearance of the room.

MmmmmCdonalds
One morning after celebrating our birthdays I was a little "jaded" so my hubby went out with the boys first thing in the morning and got me a McDonalds breakfast. It was just what I needed after a night out, perfect. With the help of lots of pepsi, crisps and chocolate I felt better by the evening.
Packed lunch
For my birthday my team at work bought me some tupperware because I love my tupperware. I have so many of them. I keep everything, every bit of leftover food I put in there for later, I must admit quite a lot of the time it does end up in the bin but sometimes it gets used so I would rather keep it in case.
So in keeping with my healthy eating I had lettuce at the bottom, beetroot, salad cream and ham.
Soup time
After two weeks of over indulging we are back to the healthy eating and I have kick started this with a home made soup.
I fried onion, red and orange pepper, carrot and garlic in fry light then added chicken stock and water. Meanwhile I roasted butternut squash for twenty minutes.
When the veg was soft I added the butternut squash and blended well. Hey presto. This made a couple of dinner for me and the hubby and the kids tried it too.

Birthday cake
Curry
We celebrated my hubby's birthday by going for an Indian at our favourite Indian restaurant. It was nice to go there rather than having a take away. The food was delicious although too much so we ended up taking a "doggy bag" home.
There was no way I was going to waste that food.
Gurkha Tandoori
Bouncy
Here I am having fun with my boys. Rather than tidying up after dinner I decided to join them playing in the garden and actually had lots of fun. I even managed to go down the slide (although I did have to lift myself over the slide handles as my hips wouldn't fit - that's because I had both the boys naturally :-) )
Cleaning
Is it only me who has a cupboard like this? Everytime I go shopping I buy some kind of cleaning product; floor wipes, dettol, polish, polish wipes etc.
It has turned into a balancing act trying to put something in or to get something out.
At least I'm not spending my money on clothes or something I'm not going to use:-)

Lasagne
The boys love my home made lasagne.
How I made this one....
I browned lean mince,
Added onion and 1 grated carrot,
Approx 3 mins later add tinned tomatoes, a third of a tube of tomato puree, dollop of ketchup, grated Courgette, tablespoon of sun dried tomato paste then simmered for about five mins.
Then I par boiled lasagne sheets, and made a white sauce by putting butter in a pan and when melted add flour to make a roux. Add milk slowly stirring all the time so it doesn't curdle and makes a smooth paste. Then put it all together and top with cheese.
Then bake for approx 25 mins.
Then I served with tomatoes.

Coloured Pasta
Today we didn't have much time for messy play so we coloured pasta using white vinegar and food colouring.
We mixed the food colouring with vinegar, then put in a sandwich bag with the pasta and Thomas gave it a big shake. I also made him give his body a wobble and shake at the same time for added fun!
Easy and quick then tomorrow we can use it for something else, possibly making a necklace or on a picture.

Little dinners
As I was at work today and wouldn't get time to make dinner I prepared it all last night. Cauliflower, cabbage, mashed potato and then chicken casserole made with chicken, chicken stock pot, bay leaf, swede, carrot, leeks and tinned tomatoes. Put it in the fridge overnight then in the slow cooker before work this morning and hey presto! All ready when I walk in the door.
The boys really enjoyed it and ate everything on their plates (as did me and the hubby). I love it when they enjoy home cooked healthy food.

Activity
As I've spent my Saturday night at home I thought I'd get something ready for Thomas tomorrow.
I've drawn round lots of items and he has to guess what they are and find them.
Hopefully he'll find it exciting and it will be good for his development, and it might also give me a little time to wake up properly while he's doing it, lol.

Robot
We took advantage of Lucas sleeping and spent some time doing something crafty. I had an empty box so we decided to make a robot. Thomas loved spending one on one time with Mummy, sticking paper and using his special sissors, and I must say I was quite impressed with the results. It even has antennae's. Thomas was happy apart from when he fell over because he had the robot head on.

Happy Dinosaur
A friend of mine gave me this idea because they had done it for their son. I have been using a reward chart on and off but really want to get on top of his cheekiness (or naughtiness!) So I thought this would be a great idea to reward him and get him to make an effort to be a good boy and to understand the consequence if he isn't.
I even made the picture myself. I painted some white paper blue and green then cut out seagulls (yes that's what the white things randomly placed at the top of the picture are) cut out a cloud and found some animal shapes from a craft set lying around. Then I printed off 3 dinosaurs on different colour paper.
Red if he has got lots of unhappy faces on his reward chart, orange if he has half and half and then yellow if he has all happy faces. Then we put the dinosaur on the picture.
Every time he starts to play up I just remind him that his yellow dinosaur will go and that puts a stop to it. Most of the time.......
