Bird house

Thomas was given this bird house by a very lovely person and really enjoyed painting it. He was so so proud and couldn't wait to show Daddy :-)

My boy

Posing after swimming so not looking gorgeous! (well not me anyway)

Feast

So today is the last day Phil is off on holiday and is also the last day of eating naughty so we are making the most of it with an Indian. Yum.
Ideally we wanted a take away but I convinced Phil it was cheaper to do it ourselves. Although now I wish I hadn't!

Egg on your face

I was disappointed to hear that someone had thrown eggs at Simon Cowell during the live Britains got Talent final.

I do like Simon Cowell but even if I didn't I think that is a horrible thing to do and it must have shocked him.

Clip of the woman throwing eggs

I hope that she doesn't get lots of publicity and interviews from doing that and as Amanda Holden said "The only person with egg on their face is the stupid cow who threw the eggs."  News

Messy play with friends

Painting with his friend Lucy. He enjoys it so much but I need to gear myself up for it with all the mess so he doesn't do it as often as he'd like.

Tomato, mozzarella and avocado

One of my favourite starters. Especially with some balsamic sauce over.
P.s this was for 4 people, not just me!

Delicious breakfast

We didn't have much in but fancied a tasty breakfast so Phil made this delicious tart with parma ham, tomatoes and mozzarella. Yum

Hello

Sorry I have not blogged for a while.  I was poorly with a virus and then was rushing around organising the boys birthdays and then went on holiday.

But I am back now and can't wait to share my stories with whoever would like to read them x x

Mr Maker

A great present for Thomas's birthday. Kept him amused and it was lovely to see him playing and making faces using his imagination.

I think I will ask for something similar for my birthday, I enjoyed it too :-)

Space

I absolutely love this.  I follow Chris Hadfield on Twitter and find his posts and photos fascinating.

Slimming world - Risotto

My second ever attempt at risotto. Better then the first one.
I roasted butternut squash, then fried onions, peppers and garlic with fry light. Added risotto rice and fried for a minute. Then started adding vegetable stock continually stirring, then chucked in some peas and the butternut squash.

I topped with mushrooms and low fat cheddar (from my healthy extras) Hey presto!

All free food, healthy bacon medallions, scrambled egg, mushrooms, baked beans. Eggs and mushrooms cooked with fry light.

Nice way to start a Sunday x

YUM YUM

Lucas is really trying with his words.  He absolutely loves his food and when he is hungry he lets me know by saying “yum yum”  Then when he is enjoying his food between each mouthful  he says “yum yum” but it sounds more like “myum myum”  So cute!

Scrummy Sandwiches

It was my colleagues last day at work today so she made sandwiches for everyone.  They looked amazing but as I am trying not to eat bread I resisted but I did have some crisps but they were healthy so that doesn't count :-)

Delicious - Avocado, tomato and mozzarella

One of my favourites!

Slimming world - Chips

So I am trying to shed the last of my baby weight and am following the Slimming World plan.  So I decided to have a go at making Chips as they are "free foods" rather than using frozen chips which will have a "syn"  value. You can eat as many potatoes as you like and if you just spray with fry light before baking they are a free food.

So I had them with baked beans and omelette, both also free.  It wasn't too bad and well worth the saving of eating "syns"

Garnier BB cream

I thought I would treat myself to a BB cream as there is so much hype about them on the website and with the gorgeous weather we have been having thought I should wear some sun protection on my face during the day.  The problem was choosing which one to get as there is so many out there.  Garnier had a special offer and after standing in the supermarket looking very dodgy trying to get the internet to work on my phone to check the reviews I decided to give it a try.

I was looking forward to trying it on, hoping that it would make me look 10 years younger! And while it didn’t make me look like a teenager again I wasn’t disappointed with it.  It was easy to apply and is tinted so made my skin look more flawless.   I apply after my moisturiser, it says it is moisturising but I think it would have been a bit gloopy and not have gone on so well without applying a moisturiser first.  It is quite a thick consistency.  Then I wear my make up as normal over the top.  I feel that it is a good base under make up to help smooth lines and even out skintone and has a SPF which is a bonus.  Overall I am happy with it and would buy it again.

Thomas talk

Lucas was being loud as normal and Thomas was trying to watch the TV. Thomas had the controller and said he was going to put the controller up Lucas's bum to turn him off so he would be quiet.

I found it very funny and a bit of me wished they did have a button to turn them down (not accessed via their bum though!)
